DESCRIPTION
A young couple with 4 small children needed to expand their Northwest Washington colonial with an addition even larger than the original 2-story home, without overwhelming it.

The finished project contains a large open family room and kitchen with several sets of French doors leading to a beautifully landscaped yard. The second floor includes a master suite with balcony and two new children’s rooms connected by a jack 'n jill bath and their own private play loft. The resulting home maintains its original charming street presence, and — through sensitive massing and matching materials on the exterior — seamlessly integrates the new and old construction.
"We basically had to double the size of our house, and we were very pleased with Larry’s design solutions and how he helped us envision the finished product with models and sketches. The addition is seamless and the new spaces work beautifully for our growing family."
